Mr. Zhu was a soldier who migrated from the mainland to Taiwan. After retiring, he opened the first Zhuji restrunt, serving authentic Northern Chinese noodles and quickly establishing the reputation of Zhu’s Dumplings and Porridge in Taipei. In 1987, the business was handed over to Mr. Yang, a comrade from the military. Currently, it is being managed by the second generation, who have infused innovative ideas and transformed the business model by introducing a new store-in-store concept in major department stores. There are now twenty-one branches from Taipei to Hsinchu, with plans for continued expansion in the future.
In 2011, a central kitchen was established, moving towards a more corporate management approach. Regardless of how the business model changes, the commitment to culinary excellence and quality control remains unchanged.
